Sheryl Scharf, Program Assistant

After moving back to Harrison County in 1996, Sheryl realized she had missed a great deal in the 12 years she had been absent. Her father had attended the 1997-1998 Leadership class and suggested she do the same to help reconnect with the community.

"Saying that the experience changed my life would be an understatement," she said.

After completing the class, she knew that she had to be a part of the program and volunteered to help with the next class - she has been a part of the program ever since.

"Our program is a wonderful way to help people grow, learn about themselves and develop skills they can use to improve our community."

Sheryl has a Bachelor of Fine Arts and 26 hours of art education from Indiana University, Bloomington. She has been working with the newly formed Harrison County Arts! since August 2004 and is serving as Secretary on that board.
