New ideas make a better community

Since 1995, Leadership Harrison County (a not-for-profit corporation) has been developing "leaders who make a difference" in Harrison County.

It began when a group of community leaders joined forces to bring new ideas and skills to Harrison County. Pam Bennett Martin, Bill Harrod, Darrell Voelker, Carol Norton, and Marty Zearbaugh had a vision for the growth of our community.

Working with Carmalita Jean, head of Awareness Washington County, they developed a program for our area.

Today, that program plays a vital role in the development of the county and its leadership. And, with its continued, annual growth of membership, those ideas become more plentiful and more varied, making progress even more possible.

Leadership Harrison County prohibits discrimination in all of its programs and activities on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, and marital or family status.
